Young Archer Overcomes Pressure to Secure Sixth Place in Debut Competition

Bangkhuntian, BANGKOK - June 13, 2026-- PKWAYBOY ACADEMY, a government-accredited alternative school in Thailand, proudly announces the outstanding performance of its student, Paphunkkorn Kuslopakorn, known as Wayboy, in his first official archery competition at the TMAC OPEN #9 2026. This event marks a significant milestone for Wayboy, a second-grade student, who has been training in archery for less than four months.

Wayboy's journey to the Quarter Finals in the BAREBOW NEW MEN 10M category was nothing short of extraordinary. Despite being the youngest competitor, he demonstrated remarkable composure and skill, finishing sixth overall. His performance was recorded in the i@NSEO system, a globally recognized platform for archery competition results.

In the qualifying round, Wayboy traveled from Nakhon Pathom at 4:00 AM to compete in the ranking event, scoring an impressive 256 out of 300 points. This achievement secured him the eighth position, allowing him to advance to the final brackets.

During the intense one-on-one finals, Wayboy faced seasoned archers and initially trailed 4-0. However, with guidance from his coach, Kru Yappy, he achieved a miraculous comeback, scoring 29/30 and 28/30 in subsequent sets, ultimately winning 6-4 to reach the Quarter Finals.

In the Quarter Finals, Wayboy competed against the top-seeded archer, showcasing his growth by improving his scores under pressure, culminating in a high of 29/30 in the final set. Although he did not advance further, the experience provided invaluable lessons beyond the classroom.
